Water in Starter???

I took my 1994 Suzuki DT100 in for a new water pump and just got it back. The guy that was working on it said he had to drain the water out of the starter and then it worked fine. Has anyone ever heard of this?<br />It makes since though, that starter has been rebuilt probably 4 times. Any ideas where the water might be coming from?<br /><br />thanks<br />Charlie
