I have a 20 ft Bayliner Capri Cuddy which is taking in water. Overnight it will fill almost to the floor boards. The hule seems imaculate, and the screw in bilge plug is tight. I've read the posts to look for a second bilge drain but I can't see one and would think the water would enter much faster than that. Any other ideas?

Could be leaking around the sleeve that you put the drain plug into. A guy on this board had this problem. Try sealing with 3M 5200.

I'll bet money on the outdrive bellows, but judging by a previous post you have a Force O/B on it. Try looking at the bedding on the transom through bolts if that's the case.

-Roger

This is a low tech way of finding the leak if you have a trailer for it. It's not 100% but Ive seen it done. Pull it out and let it dry. fill with water and food coloring and watch where the water comes out.
My bet would be on either the drain plug sleeve or the outdrive as said.
Now remember if you do this that water is under presser comming in but is only going out by gravity so it might take awhile for the leak to show up.

Just a thought

Dear Sir,
If your hull is inmaculate? well do not worry is not the hull. The thing is that water is entering in great proportions, you should stay one day an see were the water is entering. Take possible points you think, an stay looking.

Check where your bilge pump discharges.Make sure it does not go below the water when a wave comes.Charlie

Be careful if you try the filling the boat with water approach. Water weighs about 8 lbs per gallon. If you use 100 gallons of water in the boat you may over load your trailer and put undue stress on your hull where it comes in contact with the trailer.
