I don't think this is normal at all. I'm not familiar with your boat but does it have through hull fittings? There may have been a bit of water in there already and the towing and ramp use allowed it to find its way to the stern. A leaky drain plug maybe? I/O motor? maybe a leak in a hose or manifold. Just some ideas.

Procraft FISH AND SKI ????? Check your live well fittings! They may need some attention.

Bob

One thing you can do is put some water IN the boat and see what leaks out and where.

Re: water in the hull of my boat

I've got an '84 Procraft F&S 1750. After being on water all day, I have very little, if any, water drain when I pull the plug coming up ramp. Except once, one of the rear livewell overflow hoses had a leak. That day, me and the kids were using the rear deck as a "jumping platform" while swimming. All of us on the rear deck caused the thru-hull to go below waterline and it leaked ALOT of water into the bilge. I thought the sucker was gonna sink. I took off toward shallow water so if it went down it wouldn't sink too far and let the bilge pump run for a long time (seemed like hours but I'm sure it was only 15 or so minutes). This was 3rd time out in the boat and I thought I'd made a big mistake buying an older boat. Fixed the hose and all has been fine since. I'm not real familar with thru hulls but I don't really like these. They just "screw" into a rubber type substance in the hull's hole. I've thought about replacing them with "standard" thru hulls but am not sure of other problems that might cause.

Good luck w/your boat.

BL...
