Water jacket leaking??

i have an evinrude 1987 88hp motor. The water jacket was leaking by one of the spark plugs so i put a new gasket on the water jacket. The leak stopped coming from the spark plug but now there is another leak, also when i rev up the engine the leak gets stronger. Should I put some sealant on it? What else could be causing this problem?

did you torque the bolts?

It should seal with just the gasket, I would redo and double check to see that all the old gasket material is off both parts and make sure you go everything where it belongs, a small amount of gasket sealer shouldn't hurt but as I said it should seal without it.

I tighten all the bolts, i guess i will go back and clean the jacket again.

What torque - tighten dosen't mean a lot?
