Water leak..1996 rude 115 HP

I was getting the boat ready for spring and hooked up the mouse ears to the hose and water was leaking out of the center section of the lower unit.
The engin over heat buzzer went off and I shut the motor off. Does this mean I blew the water pump or can it just be a gasket that went.

picture of where it is leaking would help. could be normal could be cracked lower, use the go advance below, then clik manage attachments, and upload pics.

when you clik to reply it's at the bottom next to post quick reply. or if you clik on the blue post reply on the bottom left it will take you there automatically
