First time on here. So thanks up front for any help. I have a volvo penta sx outlive, and I have a bad water leak when the outdrive is trimmed down, but no leak when trimmed up? Im thinking that its the bellows? Anyone have any advice? Thanks Chris

Pulling the drive and inspecting bellows is a yearly maintenance event

Get in the bilge and look for the leak. Use mirrors, flashlight, and you cellphone camera to find the leak

Yeah im really trying to hopefully find a way to not pull the drive, but I couldn't see where it was coming in but could hear it, only when the drive was trimmed down. When trimmed up, heard no water at all. Boat was not running while I was doing this. Thats why im thinking its the bellows???

You have to pull the drive to change bellows (recommended changing every 2- 3 years)

Pull the drive, it can seem intimidating, but honestly it`s not that bad one you have done it. Build or buy a drive stand, we can help out after that if needed.
