Water leak

Water seems to be coming up by my 1990 L Drive 90 hp Force engine in my 20' Bayliner Capri. I have to keep the bilge running to keep from sinking. The plug is in the boat. What can I do or what is causing this. Would 5200 sealant around the motor under bottom of boat work.

As per advice from the boat smart folks here I would put water in the bilge when trailered and see where it comes out and then seek a solution.You didn't specify if the water comes in while just sitting in the water or while running or both.It could possibly be coming out of the motor, through cracked or broken bellows or boots.Maybe a more knowledgeable person will post the procedure for checking those areas.Welcome to IBoats.
