When I start my motor (1984 3.0 OMC seaswirl) I loose a little coolant thrue the outdrive I have changed my intake gasket Do to a leak there but what would cause this leak. It does not loose water other than that ?
i will assume you have a closed cooling system with anti-freeze and that you are seeing anti-freeze come out of the exhaust. most likely cause is your heat exchanger. an automotive coolant system pressure tester will usually work to check the system.
