water leak

i have a johnson faststrike 150. I just had the mid cover off i seen that while it was running the ear muff water leaked at where the motor connects to the mid section at on little place. also i was wondering what temperture it should be running at idle.

The joint between the midsection and lower is not sealed. Some water is OK.

Temp should be normal running temp (~ 140 to 150*F).

I think you're right. Adapter gasket leaking?

Yes, the way he posted it. But it may be a lack of the correct description of the prob.

If it's leaking there the p/h will have to be pulled and the gasket replaced. You may want to make sure your p/h bolts are torqued correctly.
