Water leak.

Can anyone please give me some advice. I have a 3.0 litre Mercruiser with an Alpha 2 stern drive which has recently been serviced.
When the engine is running and the water system is under pressure , there appears to be water dripping from the gear selector cable on the top, right hand side of the engine.
Could this be an incorrectly fitted seal somewhere in the stern drive?

Define service? New bellows? Maybe a shifter boot has been damaged and is now leaking? Try with boat in water and od on muffs only! Good luck!

water inlet fitting missing or dis-lodged forcing water up the shift cable into the boat

Water passage o-ring not installed correctly when the drive was mated back to the bellhousing.

Thanks for all the advice. I'll remove the stern drive and replace any seals necessary.
