Water leaking from rear of my motor

I am having same issue, water spraying somewhere inside bellhousing cover (I guess it’s called flywheel). Wonder what causes the freeze plug or( core plug) to pop? I was in the middle of lake when the plug poped out. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like you hijacked an old thread and the Mod moved you to one of your own

Most core plugs don't just pop out, this issue can normally be brought back to prior issues. If the motor was ever replaced, it may not have brass plugs so they may have rusted out. Have a look at the plugs on the side to see if they are brass.

What motor, drive and what year is your boat?
