Should there be water coming out from behind the prop on an alpha one gen 2? I have no prop on and noticed a small amount of water coming out where the exhaust does from the prop shaft.

Water is coming out of the usual spots as well.

Thanks

Yes, the main exhaust is through the prop while running. There are a couple holes at the base of the gimbal housing that are called idle relief ports. On muffs at idle you may only see water coming out of the idle ports.

Re: Water Out Exhaust

The lower unit does not appear to be milky. I just noticed a bit of water just below the prop shaft and wondered if it was normal. At initial startup I did not notice ant there. I just installed the drive today as I store it off the boat in winter. I tend to get paranoid after installing it every year. I checked the drive lube at the vent as well and it appeared to have many tiny bubbles in it. Probably because I checked it right after I turned off the engine.
