water outlet on my 1986 omc 4.3 cobra

I have been de winterizing my 1986 fabuglass with a 4.3 omc cobra ? is where should water come out when running with muffs?

I am not doing something right all i need is to know how to post in the right zone i went to the lake and put the boat in would not shift forward or backwards after all simple stuff i dropped lower unit and it checked out then the upper. I found the shift mechinisim that controls the lower unit shift shaft broken it has an o ring and slides into where the shift cable attaches , with a bolt to keep it in place problem is I cant find a part number or availability anywhere i found picture but no index number or name for part can someone tell me what i am looking for ? and a source to get it? I a boat novice but not totally stupid thanks in advance slinet Lima Ohio

1. There are 2 round exhaust idle relief ports at the base of the transome shield where most of the water will come out at idle.
2. Drain slots in the exhaust bellows.
3 Trough the prop.

see the water in this pic....most comes out under the transom mount when running on the hose

And...#4........minor point probably....... It's not a King Cobra. 87-89, King Cobra was only bolted to the back of a 460 V-8.
