Water Pipe Advice Needed

Hi Reg My Johno 35 1978
Seems The Water Pipe Has Come Adrift From Its Upper Point, This Being As Far As I Can See , Is The Pipe In Which One End Pushes To The Pump, And The Other Seems To Push In To A Metal Hole. Ive Tryedto Reinsert The Pipe Which Went In Fine, But It Still Pumps No Water Through Engine So I Need To Know What Happens Around The Area Where The Top Of This Pipe Connects And Where Its Going

have a look. There is a guide and grommet at the top. Looks like you would have to pull the pwer head to get at them though. My money is on the grommet being flattened and blocking the water. Rick.
