Does it matter if where I connect it, i.e. as it is coming out of motor or before it hits pisser ?

Also, an extra 4' feet of this hose will badly distort my readings and should be trimmed or not a big deal and should be coiled and stowed ?

Sometimes adding additional plumbing can affect the water pressure reading on a gauge. You can hook the gauge direct to the telltale and check your pressure reading, then install the T for the telltale and re-check the gauge reading. You can decide if there is any significant difference. I eliminated my telltale when I installed the gauge on the dash.

So the only purpose the TELLTALE (pisser) serves is as an indicator and once eliminated the expelled water will go out the exhaust ?

Any trick to connect pitot tube to the telltale hose or do you get rid of that hose completely and connect pitot directly to motor ?

Another description is "overboard indicator." You can connect the water pressure gauge direct to the telltale hose barb on the back of the engine.
