Hi all,

I'm thinking of adding a water pressure gauge to my boat. Do they use an electronic sensor/sender to the gauge, or do they rely on running a capillary tube from the telltale or whatever all the way to the gauge in the dash?

I particularly like the Teleflex Amega range, as they'd match the existing instruments in my Maxum quite well.

It looks from this as though these use a sender, but can someone tell me for sure?

Re: Water pressure gauges

They use a tube from the engine for water pressure. Where or how you tap into the engine depends on the particular engine. Some of those gauges (Fuel in particular), on that page will use a sender, but not the water presure gauge....
