Water pressure guage installation

I have a 1987 150 Evinrude Model#E150STLCUR. I purchased a used water pressure gauge that came with all the hardware, but no instructions. Would some one be able to tell were on the powerhead is the best place to hook up the gauge and get the most accurate and reliable reading? Thank you.

Go to the teleflex gauge website. I can't remember exactly where, but somewhere in there (TA?) are installation instructions for their water pressure gauges. Even if yours isn't a teleflex, the principles, location etc. should be the same. Good luck.<br /><br />For what it's worth, on my early 80s John. V6, I just T'd it into the tell tale fitting and it works great.

On a crossflow you tee into the overboard indicator line (pee tube).

Thanks for the response, I was able to locate the instruction sheet on the Teleflex web site. As you both have mentioned their instructions say to tee in 4" above the tell tail outlet. For others who may be looking for the info here is the web address:http://www.tflx.com/PDF/99376.pdf
