Water Pump Blues

My 89 25 HP Evinrude's water appeared to be failing on the lake, went from stream to trikle. I put muffs on at home no flow.<br /><br />Installed new water pump. It don't pump either, I watched the water tube start in the pump. I lubed the pump parts and double checked everything. <br /><br />The old pump looked and felt good. I installed new parts. What should I try next? Thanks for the help.

Clean the fitting on the water tube. They get clogged with crud sometimes.
