mornin' jonny,

don't know your specific motor but in many cases, you'll find that tube will be easy to replace after you remove the power head.

Johnny,

Sorry but you will have to remove your powerhead to change the tube. It is connected to an exhuast tube that fits inside your exhaust housing,

Pull the powerhead and then remove the exhaust tube, the wtaer pipe will then come out.
It is not really a difficult thing to do, but only time consuming, get a SELOC repair manual, and go for it.
If you have any doubts of course take it to a mechanic.

My only question would be, what caused the copper tube to break? Thats not a common problem.

Pat

Hi John...

If the copper line from the pump to the motor is busted, then boatman is correct. You will have to pulle the power head to replace it.

well i pulled the power head off and got to the copper tube, and guess what i found, the hole in the tube was a "factory hole", it was about 1/8 inch in dia, all that work and nothing wrong with it, enyway i learned a lot.. ps: can enyone tell me what the hole is for?? also this motor has no pee hole, how much water should be circulating through this motor? thanks johnny

Re: "water pump" help

This is just a guess so take it with a grain of salt.If this is indeed a factory hole in the upper end of the waterpump discharge tube it may simply be a pressure relief hole intended to accomodate extra flow until T/stat is fully open.

Re: "water pump" help

unless someone that owned the motor befor i bought it, drilled a hole in the copper tube, its a factory hole. enyway yea you are thinking the same thing as me for the reason for it, thats the only logical reason...
