just a new water pump impellor but it comes with no grease??? is any needed and if soo what type?? merc 90 3 cylinder 2 stroke

None needed, a little Vaseline or dish soap will do the job. Make sure you install it with the vanes going the same direction as the old one.

I changed my impellor for the first time several months ago on a 25HP tracker. I dont remember what direction the shaft spins(was told this by the marine store i got the parts from). but it only spins one way. Depending on that direction that will let you know which way the vanes should bend in the housing. For example if the shaft spins clockwise (looking down at the lower unit) the vanes should curve to the left. I used some quicksilver multi purpose marine lube when i installed mine. Just remember to always have a water supply to the lower unit when starting the motor.

Never replaced a pump yet so now i know what to expect...Thanks all....
