I have a 2001 F115 that came with a boat I purchased a year ago.
Doing some maintenence and was planning on changing the water pump impeller.
I've done searches and read Rodbolts and other threads regarding this subject.
When I picked up my kit I also asked for the split plastic bushing and metal collar that goes with it cuz I've read about how they can be tough to get off.
The thing is they arent' there.
Also not there are the two washers with the warpy washer in between.
These are the ones that go between the impeller and the cup. (rtight?)
Anyone else seen this?
I guess I just go back to the parts store and get the washers but it just seems wierd they arent there and everything has appeared to be working fine.
The impeller looks to be in pretty good shape as well as the cup.
Were there some models that didn't have these parts? Any help appreciated.

Re: Water Pump ??? On F115

ALL F115 engines used the collar, retainer two washers and a wave washer.
in fact all V 2 strokes and inline4 strokes over about 80 HP used this method of stabilizing the driveshaft.
if the parts are missing it wont really hurt anything just occasionally the drive shaft will bounce at low speeds creating a knock at in gear idle speeds.
most likly the last tech that did the job left them out.
install the impeller, washer, wave washer, washer then the collar and retainer. remember to pull up on the drive shaft when seating the retainer.
but the sole function of the washers is to simply hold the shaft up and prevent a low speed in gear knock or to aggrevate me. not sure which.
