Hello
I'm changing out the water pump for the first time and have a couple of questions. Merc 150 XR4 '89
1) On the water pump base with the o-ring that goes into the recessed circle area against the nut that holds the roller bearing. The service manual has two parts listed as larger and smaller diameter oil seals that are part 14 and 15 in schematic. ( On dougrussell.com they are parts 21 and 22). I need to know if they came installed in the new water pump base with the complete water kit or do I need to buy them?
2) Is RTV used with re-used inserts or do I need it when im using a new kit? And if so where do I need to use it? Is G.E Silicone II a sub for it?
