Was changing the impeller and said to stick a screw driver in somewhere to turn the shaft. Now where does this go don't see anywhere to put it to turn. I tried grabbing the shaft and turning it with pliers but didn't seem like it wanted to turn. What's the secret to this or is there a bearing in there that might have the shaft seized up? Thanks in advanced

What are you working on, and what said to stick a screw driver somewhere? A manual? If so, which one. If a friend, ask what he meant.

It's a 1989 Vip Vision 2.3. I'm replacing the water impeller on the out drive. I have the Omc manual an cylmer. But on the screwdriver that's for the impeller itself, I was miss reading that. But It's saying the v part of the shaft needs to face the bottom bolt hole. How do you go about turning that shaft so it's pointing down? Sorry about my misunderstanding.

So I will have to turn motor over to turn the shaft to point at bottom bolt hole then?

One more thing, what do I use to lube the impeller prior to installing it? Book says the omc hi vis stuff and seen on here said not to use that. To use dish soap. Which one should be done?
