I have a 1987 Rude 150 when was at lake the other day it looked as there was water coming out of squirter but it wasnt a hard stream and it wasn't trickeling it was squirting a half way stream. When I throttled up it did not change the stream. How much stream should you have? Should be like a pressure washer stream or alow pressure hose stream.
Thanks
Scott

Re: Water Pump Stream

It should be a steady steam the size of the teel tale. Sounds like something got in there. Put on the muffs and flush it out.

That telltale nozzle in the lower cowling acts like a restrictor. As such, it frequently gets debris in it which will further reduce the telltale stream. You can clean that nozzle out with some weed whacker string. Or when it is running, blow some compressed air back through the nozzle itself.
