water pump ?

It's been a while since i have been on here but i think i have aother problem with my 1970 60 horse rude. Should there be any water coming out of the two round holes on the back of the motor just below the top cover. I do have water coming out the pee hole above the lower unit.The reason why i'm asking is this past week end i seem to have had a vapor lock. The motor quit and would'nt start back. The plugs where dry so i wasn't flooded. The motor itself wasn't hot but the flywheel was real hot. after getting a tow back to dock and loading on trailer i tryed to start and it fired right up. so all you Rude gurus help me out agian please.......Thanks.......

No water comes out those two little holes, I have not yet figured out why they're, maybe to drain water that may get in there like from a leaking hose in the motor compartment, the flywheel will hold heat for a long time, it's the biggest heaviest chunk of metal on the motor next to the crank. That would be a real bummer after a long tow to have the engine start right back up.
