Hi volvo penta 5.0 gxi had leak at raw water pump. replaced impeller,o-ring ,and seal and stared her up and she is leaking worse now than before. Housing has a awful lot of movement to it so, I guess I am going to have to replace raw water pump assembly with the new pulley. ?? How does it get that bad, because the water pump on block is gone, maybe the bearings are gone and how do we confirm this is where the problem comes from. The raw water pump had the bracket on also and I have never seen it wobble like this before. I am praying I don't have to go for both parts 700.00 dollars worth!! Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
