Hi All,

I have a Merc I/O 3.0L at 135HP, I am new to boating and very much was relying on a Marine Service to maintain my boat. Since this forum, I am gutsy to do it myself. Here's my question, I noticed they installed a fuel/water seperator with a mini 10 micron filter, on the filter it states for 115hp and under. Could this be my problem of my motor stalling at 500 or less RPMs?

Any help is welcomed. Thank you for your help.

Is this filter a Spin-on canister type,..??

Re: Water Seperator Question

The filter is a spin on. I've followed the advice, I took off the filter put fuel in glass, no water, I removed the filter and noticed the choke was fully opened at operating temp (175). I checked wires for disconnection, none found. So when I saw the filter I thought "AHA"
