If even possible, where can a water temperature sending unit be installed on a 1991 Johnson 115? Can i simply connect the wire from the sending unit to a bolt in an unused threaded hole in the block? Would cutting of the brass knob on the sending unit ruin it or can i attach it as i mentioned? thank you.

Don't cut the sender!!! There is a little thermistor that lives inside (fragile)

Here are several methods of mounting the sender...

Click me :)

the easy way if your outboard won't except a sending unit sender is to install a surface temp. sending unit that reads surface or head temp.

Re: water temp. gauge?

Looking for lonewolf5347. I have a Rinker 120XR Sport Jet. You seem to be the expert on this machine after reading previous posts. I can get any spark. It appears to be the stator. Is this hard to replace? Can I do it my self. If you see this please email me at tytler@netacc.net. Thanks If any one else see this and can help please send away
