water tube sealing?

i,m putting a new powerhead on a force 70hp 1991.<br />does the water tube from the lower unit where it enters the powerhead, need to be sealed and if so with what or does it have an o-ring or gasket? thanks

Yes it does. There should be both an O-ring and gasket used. If you will post your email address I will send you some info. Why don't you have a manual?

It should have a rubber seal holding it at the top right where it meshes with the powerhead. In addition you should assist it with some black high-temp rtv silicone.
