water tube

I am replacing my impeller and pump housing on a apha one gen 1 MR I think , and going back together I seen that the water tube from housing has no seal at top. it slides rite over the tube from water pocket cover with very loose fit. There is really nothing to hold it down into housing. didn't see any thing on parts break down. this is used outdrive and didn't see anything when breaking it down could use so insite

It is just a guide tube. If you look up in the drive you see the metal tube. The plastic tube guides the metal tube into place when putting them together.
