Looking for best way to put lables on a few things on my boat - fuse box cover (to ID circuits), accessory plugs, etc.

I have one of those Dymo lable makers that has a variety of tape materials available. Anybody know the best one (if any) for exposed use? I'm trying a plastic tape now. I notice they also supply a polyester tape. Other options?

Take a look at the P-Touch line of labelmakers.
We have had some of the labels out in the weather for years and they still look just fine!

My label maker is water proof but actually a fine tip sharpie works best.

For a truly custom and quality look, I had mine done at a trophy shop. Engraved plastic (black background w/ white letters) labels were 1.5" x .75" and set me back $2.25 each. A dab of JB Weld to set them in place.
