Wave Raider 1100 carbs adjustment

Hi, I have a 1996 wave raider 1100 and I'd like to adjust the carbs to factory setting. The current adjustment that have been done by the PO looks wayyyy to rich. The service manual says low 1-1/8 +or- 1/4 turn and high 7/8 +or- 1/4 turn. Does that mean I need to screw all the way in and unscrew counter clockwise 1 turn and 1/8 of anoter turn ? or this is a lenght measurement ? I'm running on premix 50:1

what makes you think it's rich? It's a two stroke, the plugs are going to be a little black. If it's running good, I wouldn't mess with the carbs. Also, 50:1 is pretty lean, I wouldn't run that mixture. 32:1 or 40:1 might be better on that raider.
