Wax! Good or bad

I have always heard that waxing the bottom of a boat is bad is that true or not? Thanks

It all depends on the existing circumstances and what you are trying to accomplish.

in theory it slows your boat down. Unless you are a competitive sailor or have a human powered boat, you won't notice. (although wax can make some PWC's become a little squirrely.) As far as actual benefits, there are also very few for waxing below the waterline. It gets blasted off on a couple decent runs.
