Yesterday we had the starting of an open "storm door."

Late yesterday afternoon/early evening, San Francisco Airport recorded a wind gust of at 71 MPH. During that time frame, Angel Island, near Alcatraz Island, recorded a wind gust of 98 MPH!!!

Today, during and hour and 15 minute window, a Tornado Warning, not watch, was in effect for the town of Fairfield, east of San Francisco and West of Sacramento, (the state capitol).

Just now, 5:50 PM, PST, there were two funnel clouds sighted about 75 mile's south of San Francisco. :(

Other than thunder, lightning, hail and quite heavy rain, it's winter as usual out here, with some Bay Area town's expecting 6 to 8 inches of rain, in 24 hrs.

This doesn't count the small earth quake's that occur daily here. Those daily quakes are less than 4.0 on the Richter scale and mostly on the left half of Calif. (Left?, go figure)

... Bob, in the "what's next state" ...

See update below........(new post)

Wow. I won't mention any of the things that usually don't happen out there---I would be hexing you! But really...tornadoes?? That's pretty strange for your neighborhood.

Lots of weird stuff happening, and I just heard Mt. St. Helens is acting up again.

If I could write the Twilight Zone theme song here, that's what I'd be typing!

Wow! That's wild! Hey, let's go across the Golden Gate bridge today, heh? It would be a fun time, ya think? You guys hang in there.
Here in the Central Valley we're getting some crazy weather too, but no funnel clouds yet. Big gusts of wind though and rain coming and going and coming again.(That pounding rain! Going in all directions.) Supposed to be like this through Saturday. Oh boy!

Wow is right!! We got steady rain from 6:00 PM yesterday to 9:00 AM this morning. No wind . . . Is this what is in store for us too?

Yeah, we had typhoon conditions in the SF bay area last night.

I know the Chinese are somehow responsible for this weather, I just haven’t figured out how, yet.
:D

It's probably either global warming, a plot by O'Sama, a plot by some unkown terrorist group, GW's fault, the Left Wings fault, the Right Wings fault, or the last Spotted Owl has just died.....or all the above...... :)

Probably gotta' blame someone....

It's the begining of the movie The Day After Tomorrow when tornadoes destroyed L.A and then the North America will freeze over. ;) ;)

Bob and 18R, thanks for all the weather information... looks like I'll leave out my Hawaiian shirts & sunblock :D

I'm impressed that your forecasters can predict 10 days ahead - in NZ we consider a long range forecast to be 4 days. It's good to see they are predicting like some sun later next week. :)

Weather Update..........

We now have snow on the hills in the west part of my town. We got 1"+ last night and more is expected durning the day. The snow level is 2000'. Three inches is expected at the 3000' level. I don't know if this has anything to do with the three 3+ magnitude earthquake's that occured east of SF yesterday.

I think this "diversity" thing is going too far.

...Bob in the state of confusion...

We are getting hammered with rain this very minute. Pretty sure it's Global Warming not diversity  Some guy told me it causes earthquakes too.
