Not sure if you are aware but we hit a great milestone today on iboats.

300,000 members......
Three Hundred Thousand!

I?ve been watching the numbers for the last week or so and members have been joining at the rate of almost 250 a day!
Real testimony to the forum and its value to boaters worldwide.

Well done iboats!!



Next goal......2000 users online!

Kudos! As a moderator on a (much) smaller audio forum, I know how membership and post-count matters. Way to go!

Wow! It has been a lot like watching a child grow up. I remember when we got 30-40 posts a day in all fora.

Not to be a debbie downer but that 300k numbers means nothing to me as I know probably a huge percentage of it is spammers or other 'bot-created accounts. However, the 2000 simultaneous users number, that one's real impressive.

Debbie, why do have to spoil it? The numbers are all relative. If iBoats wasn't popular, we wouldn't get spammers. I'm sure smaller fora get spammers as well. Probably the same percentage.
Same could be said about the 2000 simultaneous users. Some will be spammers.
I'm depressed now. I'm gonna sell my boat

Nah, marcoalza......Never....I say never, follow in my footsteps. You may end up at some far away island...whether you intend to or not!

Most of my expierence has been with larger boats. I have learned soooooo much here. I am happy to be a member of this big family of boaters.

Trust me. I tried to catch who it was going to be in my sad quest waiting for 300k.
Like the sad person I am, I woke this morning at 3:30am and checked!
Sorry I missed them by 4!

Mind you, if Debbie Depression is to be believed it was only a spammer anyway.

I'll try harder at 400,000 which we'll get to in about......400 more days.

This is a C&P from the list of banned spammer's and rule breaker's........... each page has about 75-100 people on it........ These user names are NOT counted in the 300K+ and no longer appear in the membership list. FORTY TWO pages worth!!! Over 4000 banned user's!

Welcome aboard muleskinner. 2 yrs ago this month I joined my first forum, iboats.

I've never been the same since.

Trust me, it's not that hard. If your in a particular topic, on the left side of the screen, (top and bottom) is a blue button that says post new thread. If your in a thread the same blue buttons say reply to thread.
