Weak spark at dist cap .

Compression at 160 PSI New cap & rotor, ing in cap . Will crank and run at low RPM and bog and sputter when gassed I am auto mechanic of over 50 years. at dist cap hold terminal and spark is weak and no jump WEAK! Mercruiser 140 HP In Out . Put on also new coil .and plugs.

Year and type of engine?
Is it points or solid state?
Has any one verified Voltage at coil and a good connection to GND ?
Are you sure its not fuel related ? clogged fuel filter etc ?
