Just an update to all the people who helped me out last fall. I would lose spark to the port side only when I advanced the throttle so I replace the power pack this May and my spark returned(replaced it with a sierra 18-5887). Went fishing on five fishing trips and it worked fine. Next time out trolling for walleye and the motor started chugging and would not get up on plane and would die. Start it back up and idled back to the marina checked spark on port side and it was bright blue, starboard was very weak. Is this a ground problem or is there a problem with the pack. I disconnected the shift switch and the spark did not get any better and all testing on the stator was fine.
Thank you in advance for your replies and help.

I did disconnect the interrupter switch and the spark did not strenghten. I also have a OMC manual and it does not talk of a weak spark, just no spark problems. Checked all my grounds today and they're all fine. any other ideas are greatly appreciated. Thanks!
