Weather person wrong again.....

Here in La Crosse Wisconsin last night we were told we were going to get about 6-10 inches of snow. So I wake up early in the morning so I can shovel oh what do we have here a nice 1/2 inch blanket of snow.

yea, I don't give any wieght to the local weather. seems the accuracy is 50/50 most of the time.<br /><br />I use NOAA for my info--more accurate most of the time.<br /><br /> NOAA Weather--National

At least they missed in the right direction Skiuseme. 1/2" on a 6-10" forecast is much better than 24" on a 6-10" forecast...unless the snowmobile is ready to be unleashed 6 more days until the trails open up!!

I agree with gaugeguy. I really loved the weatherman the time I had to shovel 8" of "light flurries"!

What are you trying to say Ladyfish? You don't miss the snow at all? I used to have a similar view when I lived in Encinitas, CA...and to think I moved back east because I missed the changing seasons. Sometimes I wonder about the decisions I have made.

Didn't Galveston get hit by a couple hurricanes earlier this fall? Anywhoo, I'm up for a party at Ladyfish's, especially seeing she is supplying food, beer, lodging, a band, and airfare down--now that is a deal I can't pass up

Skiuseme<br />I have your 8" of snow here, can we get our "dusting" back? You can pick it up anytime before 5! <br /><br />We were to get maybe 1/2" last night by 9pm you could hardly see to drive! oh well sure looks nice!<br />Richard

skiuseme, <br /> The forecast was right about the snow and wrong about the location. I live in the St Paul, MN area and we were suppose to get an inch and have over 6. The storm track was farther north than they had anticpated.

We were to get 8 - 10 inches - got 16! Now they are calling for rain to start tonight. ALready have the flood warnings into effect. Give me snow over cold rain any day!
