I am almost done putting together my Sea Ray. I just installed the rebuilt engine and got her fired up. However, I noticed that the engine was surging at idle. I double checked everything because it didn't run like this outside the boat during ground running. As the engine was running I was looking down the carb and noticed gas dripping from the front left venturi. No biggie I will just pull it out and rebuild it. During my research in looking for a rebuild kit the prices I have been finding are over 100 bucks. I searched the forums here and noticed that some people are using Edelbrock rebuild kits because they are less than 50 bucks. I know that the Weber and Edelbrock carbs are clones and that the kits are interchangeable. The question I have is I cant seem to find the correct rebuild kit for the Edelbrock Carb that would work with my Weber. The Weber carb that I have is the 9665S. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Re: Weber / Edelbrock Carb Cross Reference

bomar76, I also have a Weber 9665S.
Mine was dropped by my father-in-law and it doesn't work anymore.
What cfm is the 9665S?
What carb can I use to replace it?
I have been looking at the Edelbrock 1409 and 1410, but I am unsure which one to go with.
I am running a 1995 Mercruiser 5.7 with an Alpha drive pushing a 21' Crownline Cuddy.
Thanks in advance, David
