Wee clip of the boat passing a friends Doral on our way home from the islands. Not sure what pace she saw here, but the big Doral is just shy of 50mph gps wot here.
More trim required you think ? Haha.

The Enertia prop allows so much lift. Great prop.

Yeah. Makes a big difference with the hood off. Acts like a big parachute. Few mph quicker with it off.

Probably running early 60’s with the hood up and a few onboard. End of season and dirty hull. Running light she has seen about 67 gps. Won’t go much more than that. God knows I’ve tried everything except another engine, haha.

Aren't you glad you got the Enertia?

So glad. Should have listened to you a year before I eventually got it. It’s a used one with a nick or two on the leading edges. Getting it refurbed before the season. Great prop.

That's what I've got on my 1985 CVX 18 right now.......22P. I bought it for my '79 CVX18. It was a complete dog out of the hole. Not the props fault.

The '85 has the same boat anchor 305 V8 as the '79 did, but surprisingly comes out of the hole a LOT stronger. I've yet to get the GPS and see what I can get out of it for top speed. When I get the '79 put back together it will have a 5.7 w/Gen 2 drive. Hoping the Enertia will push it into the low/mid sixties.

Hi Blind date.
Great to hear from you.
I think that enertia will easily see that kind of pace gps. Especially on that CVX.
Amazingly and coincidentally, I have an old ‘85 CVX 16 UK Roger Clark model. She has a 115 Yamaha V4 which isn’t in great health. Just rescued her from a field and renovation starts soon. Apparently she saw over 50 with even that small motor. Once she is running again I’ll be putting an Enertia on her. I’d imagine she will be quite flighty trimmed out.
Considering the Campion Chase is such a heavy thing for it’s size I was amazed to see the performance she is capable of. Even with a laser 2, she was early 60’s GPS. Fair bit faster nowadays.
Let me know how you get on GPS on the CVX. Love to hear.
