Weekend projects on a sunbridge express cruiser

I thought it could be interesting to post some things rather than just poke around on my own. I've been doing a number of projects over the past year. It would be good to get some suggestions too.

My current puzzle.. The serpentine v-belts (2x per diesel. 4 belts on the twins) look original to 89. They're holding up but really need to be replaced... But google, oreilly, auto zone, napa, etc.. nobody carries anything like this. And they can't identify it despite the marking: Mitsubishi 45371

Well that's interesting. I've got a lead on the vbelt. It's $197.22 for each. So I need 4.. $788.88 + tax and shipping.

I did find something that should work at another napa. 22588 belt. It's half the "meat" and slightly narrower but only $30. I think that's what I'll go with.

Next up.. I've been thinking about updating some of the electronics. I have a Lowrance 7 TS chart plotter but I'm really tempted to move to TimeZero.

So I'm thinking about installing 2 touch screen Windows tablets on to the helm station. One as a main unit, one as a backup unit, and maybe another for everything else like music. The 7TS plotter will always be there too.

I suppose the first layout will look something like this


I'm going to see if I can keep the units portable so they clip in and out. That way I can stow them away, take them home, or pick one up and plot a route from another seat.
