Weighing Question

I want to get the real weight of my boat and trailer. I live on an island that costs me about $60 round trip on the ferry to tow the boat across.
Plenty of options on the mainland to weigh but all we have here is the county dump.
For $12.50 I can weigh in and out but it's not a good place to stop and unhook.
I'm thinking that if I know what my tongue weight is I can just subtract that from what the scale shows with just the trailer and boat on it.
Right???

Re: Weighing Question

if you tell the scale guy, you can pull the tow vehicle ahead off the scale, and just with the trailer axles on the scale. thats how they weight you here.

OOPS! Wrong.
