weight of an merc 115 compared to merc 650

I have a 15ft basschamp aggressor boat with a 1976 merc 650 on it, I have acces to a 115 inline 6. I was wondering what the weight diifrence in the 2 motors are. How much does the 1976 650 weigh and how much does the merc 115 weigh. the 115 is the older type motor. Will it be worth swaping the motors, bc i want a little more speed out of my rig. it only runs 32mph with a 15 p prop now.

32 MPH with a 650 is pretty good. Is that 15 footer rated for 115HP?

The inline six is about 300# in weight. You can look up the weight of your 650, but I think it will be in the low 200s.

It says max hp is 75. but i have went over max hp in the past with no problem. just curious about this one
