weight of boat is water in hull

I switch from 83 50 hp john to 89 60 hp john.When I got my boat back from the shop It really felt a lot heavier. I replacd the floor before I took it to the shop the plug hole in the rear of the boat is not clogged I stuck a long hard wire in and nothing is blocking .is there any way to fing if water is somehow in bottom somewhere or does 10hp change in motor make that much difference?

Joe,<br /><br />The difference in weight of those engines is less than 100#. Something else changed. <br /><br />Battery placement, fuel tanks?
