weight of old johnson 88hp

i own a 1988 88 hp johnson spl motor that i am replaceing with
a new etec115 johnson.i need to know approx weight of this motor
i wanted to replace old motor with a same hp four stroke
but just about everyone i spoke with says the extra weight
may cause a problem.old engine is mounted on a alunimum stern bracket
that was replaced six years ago.

I have a very similar question. I have a 1998 115hp carbed, 'Rude that I want to replace w/ a 1985 150hp GT150hp. My boat 18' f/s, is rated for a 150hp. Would love to know the weights of each.
