Weight?

OK guys....have a 1987 Celebrity Calais 190 Cuddy. From the original sales brochure I see that they give an app weight of 2825#. I'm assuming that this would be without the engine and outdrive as they put in various units back then. If it would be 2825# for the boat......how much extra does a Mercruiser 5.0l block and Alpha One outdrive weigh? Any ideas? Thanks.

No that is dry weight with a base engine /outdrive so add about 200 lbs. So you are probably with fuel and toys under 3200.

Bob_VT...........so what would a base engine/outdrive be? I mean there is some weight diff between a 4 cyl and a V8. Just wondering. I have a 52 gal tank on this unit which is only at 1/4 right now. Nothing else in there of significant weight.

The outdrive is no different for the 4 cyl to the small block V8 only the gearing is changed. That base boat came with a 3.7 Liter 4 cylinder which was a big 4 cylinder (and very problematic) and a small bock 5.0 is not that far in weight.

52 gallons of fuel would equal 416 lbs

What is the concern with the weight?
