I normally wouldn't do this, but please welcome Popuptarget to the forum. I noticed one of his posts buried in the Saddam topic. He is in Tikrit, Iraq serving this fine country. I've been in a combat zone during the holidays, and greetings from home are a good way to get through it. <br /><br />Welcome Popup.

Welcome popup and keep safe we want all you guys and gals to come home safe and sound. I to have been away from home during the holidays in a combat zone and my prayers are with you. I won't ask how you came by the name I think I know <br />If you are ever in tenn just hollor and we will welcome you into this household.

gaugeguy <br /><br />As a Vet I thank you for making this post, but you need to make sure he reads this. And as a Vet we are sooo proud of him and his unit! I just had lunch with people from 1940 to 1994...as proud as we where from 1940 to 1995 ... his unit excelles us.. They our troops which stepped into our foot steps are so much better trained and I'm proud of them<br />I know this sounds lame<br />But May God Blessya..<br />Link

Ain't nothin lame about being proud and supporting our troops Link. I just recently found out that my old squadron I served with in Nam has a web site and has been holding conventions in Florida. Almost cried when I called a couple guys I served with after getting their numbers. <br /><br />Popup....stay safe and come home in one piece. We'd all like to talk to ya more.

You have to remember this Link. When you were serving, The US had the finest fighting force on earth. When I served, we had the finest fighting force on earth. Now these boys are serving and they are the finest fighting force around. Technology surely helps, but one thing remains constant throughout the years, the heart of the US serviceman is strong and determined.
