Weldcraft 17 ft Kicker F-8 or T-8

What would work the best a std 8 horse yamaha F-8 or a T-8 with the higher gear ratio? anyone have any thoughts on which on might be slower? Does the T-8 run a bigger prop? I know the f-8 weighs a little less wich is important also...

The T-8 is designed for trolling. Has a different gear ratio and and large dia, low pitch prop. I've got one on my 17' Alumaweld and love it.

On a 17' boat the weight diff. should be minor.
