I’m planning to get a 20’ aluminum boat, outboard (about 115-140 hp) with standard transom mount for lake fishing (large lakes and the Columbia River here in Washington). Some of the make/models I am looking at are: Duckworth Advantage, Weldcraft Maverick (or possibly Sabre), North River Sea Hawk, Hewes Sea Runner and maybe Alumnaweld. One important thing is I want something with a strong, heavy duty top that isn’t a big hassle to put up or take down. My wife and I like to fish in all weather and keep warm so the top is important. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations or experience with any of these boats? Also I’m kind of curious about any differences between Duckworth and Weldcraft since they are both owned by the same parent company and I think (??) both made in the same small town of Clarkston, WA. Is one a higher quality line than the other or soemthing like that?
