Wellcraft?

Trying to prop my boat, always asked the weight, and i dont know.Was hoping to find someone who knows how to go about finding the weight of my boat. Wellcraft provides no such service. Does anyone know how to look up specs for boats. I own a 1974 wellcraft 165 airslot. Thanks

Boatride, Do you live in the boon's where there is a grain elevator/feed store? All such places have scales to weight the grain hauled there by farmer John. No elevator? Try your local weight station on the interstate,don't just pull on the scales though. Park out of the big rigs way and go inside and ask the nice officer for permission first. They tend to get pi--ed if you mess with their program. Should be easy to run the math minus trailer weight.

boatride,<br /><br />I've always had good luck getting a weight by going to a moving and storage warehouse. Such as: Allied Van Lines, Global, etc.<br /><br />They will be patient and allow you to unhook it from the tow vehicle for an actual weight.

These guys have the right idea for finding your true weight. Looked up the 1971 16' at NADA and it weighed 1200 without the engine.<br /><br />SS182

nada only lists a 165 sport as being made in 1974,<br />and wo/engine it weihged 1150 (heavy boat for a 16'.....

Those old wellcraft boats are heavy. I've got a '67 15'er and it weighs about 900 lbs w/o motor.
